Relationships are tough. In a world so full of competition, struggle, a rat race to reach the top. People don't really have time for love. Whatever little time they get is lost in thinking about what the society would think. Half girlfriend in a Bollywood but believable style gives a happy ending where in, though people compromise and dreams don't come true as originally planned, in the end they do get happiness. That's what life is all about isn't it??
Half Girlfriend is a charming love story. I am not a guy who reads "Only Chetan Bhagat Novels". I have read better prose. I have read more complex literature. But seldom have I come across a writer who can strike a chord with the middle class Indian youth as beautifully, as Chetan Bhagat does.
I feel, Chetan Bhagat's biggest asset is his simplistic yet charming writing style.
The way the author expressed the happiness in receiving love, the sadness in losing love and the happiness in regaining it was too lovely. It is one of those books you just pick up and then cannot put down. I finished it in 7 hours with two breaks in between. There are so many moments in this book which keeps Half Girlfriend in your hands until you don't finish it off in one go.
This is a simple book which can touch your heart and leave you with a smile on your face.
Simply to say we can experience love through this book.
