The heart is one of the most conspicuous symbols of love, and perhaps it is unsurprising that love is associated both literally and figuratively with one the most important organs in the human body. Being in a loving relationship is not simply a bed of roses. No one seems to experience love in precisely the same way as everyone else. We are all drawn to different kinds of people and expect many different things from a relationship.
We understand the poetry of the heart, but over the courses of our lives we tend to demystify this precious feeling more and more and as soon as we think there’s no more place for romance in our life we fall in love.
Love is pure, love is painful, love is sweet and love is dreadful. True love is overwhelming. Our lives depend on it and it often seems like our planet would stop spinning if love didn’t exist.
Love is something we strive for and something we mourn the loss of.
